Read My Camera's Manual

I read the entire manual for my Nikon D5100. Now I need a photography book. But I failed to include that in my 101 item list.

Maybe in 3 years. On another 101 in 1001 list.

I learned a new feature. Yippee yay! The color picker effect.

I could spend hours playing with this effect.

That is one cool effect! I never even knew it was on my camera. Now I do!

Another effect I love...the high key effect (or the wedding effect, as I like to call it). The camera must be held absolutely still, however, so a tripod might come in extremely useful.

101 in 1001

The Challenge:
Complete 101 preset tasks in a period of 1001 days.

The Criteria: Tasks must be specific (ie. no ambiguity in the wording) with a result that is either measurable or clearly defined. Tasks must also be realistic and stretching (ie. represent some amount of work on your part).

Why 1001 Days?
Many people have created lists in the past - frequently simple challenges such as New Year's resolutions or a 'Bucket List'. The key to beating procrastination is to set a deadline that is realistic. 1001 Days (about 2.75 years) is a better period of time than a year, because it allows you several seasons to complete the tasks, which is better for organising and timing some tasks such as overseas trips, study semesters, or outdoor activities.

Why This Blog?

I don't really know myself.

Sad, right?

But it's true. I don't truly and honestly know myself. I have spent my entire life trying to live up to other people's standards and ways of life. I constantly compare myself to others. I try to embody who I think they are or what they will like. I mimic attitudes, behaivors and mannerisms. I am a chameleon.

I don't want to be a chameleon any longer.

"Be Yourself. Everyone else is taken"
- Oscar Wilde

I love that quote. I love it. But I don't really know how. Thus, I need a journey to find myself. I hope this blog will help.

So here begins my journey to Becoming More Anna.
